It all started as a hobby i had back in highschool. In those days, electric guitars were as rare as a CD-player and professional effect stompboxes were not unlike the Holy Grail.
I didn’t have an electric guitar from the beginning. I had an acoustic one, for which i built a magnetic pickup with a speaker magnet and some copper wire. Not much, i know, but i had a pickup. Then i made a Fuzz Face. I built it on a piece of cardboard inside an “Amigo” instant coffe tin box. And that was the beginning.
Then came a long period of time during which i built nothing. We call it “college” sometimes. But this is a sticky business, I couldn’t just let it be. So i’ve again started building effect boxes. The best part of it was that the suppliers from the US and UK were now available for us Eastern Europeans, too.
So here we are now, today, fulfilling a dream for every artist that finds him[or her]self in need of a customised, quality sound, a dream that was too hard to follow at that time. This is the one and only Analog Sound.
